Partnerships exist between the USDA‑ARS Poultry Research Unit and Mississippi State University's Poultry Science Department as well as College of Veterinary Medicine. Specifically, our formal partnerships involve four Specific Cooperative Agreements: 1) determination of lipoprotein profiles
of F strain Mycoplasma gallisepticum vaccinated chickens, 2) improving diagnostics and developing reagents for F‑strain Mycoplasma gallisepticum testing in chickens, 3) improving broiler house environment by reducing ammonia and mortality, and 4) environmental control for broiler well‑being
and waste managment. Informal partnerships include Cal‑Maine Foods, Inc., Jackson, MS and Peco Farms, Inc., Gordo AL.

Our stakeholders include poultry companies, the National Poultry Improvement Plan and state poultry regulatory agencies while our customers include individual poultry growers and, of course, the American tax payer.
